Common Management Admission Test (CMAT)

The Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is a National Level Entrance Examination for admission to management programmes in the country. This Test facilitates AICTE affiliated/ Participating Institutions to select suitable graduate candidates for admission to the Management Courses in such Institutions. Till 2018, the Test was conducted by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). NTA is conducting this Test since 2019. The CMAT-2021 will be conducted by the NTA. The CMAT is a three hours Computer Based Online Test which is conducted to evaluate the candidates ability across various segments like Quantitative Techniques and Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning,Language Comprehension and General Awareness. The CMAT score is accepted by all AICTE- Approved Institutions / University Departments / Constituent Colleges /Affiliated Colleges.

Benefits of Appearing for CMAT

CMAT is conducted at the end of MBA entrance exam season, so candidates don't have to prepare much as the experience of exams like CAT, XAT, SNAP come in use.
CMAT score is accepted by about 1,300 MBA colleges in India which includes some of the top colleges in Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities.
CMAT exam is a moderate difficulty level exam so it is easy to crack.
CMAT cut offs for admission to top colleges are not expectionally high, so you can get a good college with decent score.
There's no 50 per cent aggregate criteria for CMAT application, so any candidate with passing marks in graduation can appear for the exam.
CMAT applicaton fee for women and reserved category candidates is only INR 1,000 which is quite less as compared to CAT, XAT, IIFT, SNAP fees.
